Mark DeYmaz
After 18 years of ministry to students, Mark DeYmaz, together with his wife, Linda, established the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas in Little Rock in July of 2001. Mosaic is a multi-ethnic and economically diverse church where men and women from more than 30 nations currently worship God together as one. Recently highlighted in Christianity Today (April, 2005) and Outreach Magazine (May, 2005), Mark is an increasingly identifiable leader within the emerging movement and his church, Mosaic, a recognized model of a Biblical, multi-ethnic local church.
In addition to his ministry, Mark recently finished a two-year appointment as a commissioner on Little Rock's Racial and Cultural Diversity Commission and is currently on the Pulaski County Empowerment Zone Alliance. He is part of the leadership team of Little Rock’s Nehemiah Group and the past chair of Little Rock's Faith Alliance, an ecumenical group working together to eradicate prejudice and promote cultural diversity in Little Rock. Mark is a graduate of Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA), Western Seminary (Portland, OR) and is currently writing his dissertation via the Doctor of Ministry program at Phoenix Seminary (Phoenix, Arizona).
Married since 1987, Mark and Linda have four children - Zack (16), Emily (13), Will (9) and Kate (7). Linda is the author of two books, including Mommy, Please Don't Cry (Multnomah Publishers; a 2004 Retailer’s Choice Nominee), an anointed resource providing hope and comfort for parents who grieve the loss of a child.
