Jim Spoonts
Jim Spoonts serves as Executive Director, Mosaix Global Network. Born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, he earned a BBA at Texas Christian University in 1972.
After 22 years as a commercial real estate developer, Jim took a short term missions trip with Global Missions Fellowship that changed his life. He entered full-time ministry with GMF as church planter.
For the next ten years, he mobilized several churches (including his home church Denton Bible Church) to participate in church planting strategies in Russia, Venezuela, Brazil and Mexico. These strategies involved leadership training, evangelistic campaigns, and pastor training. As GMF Country Coordinator for Russia, Jim and his staff team facilitate a national church planting strategy for the Russian Baptist Union. The strategy includes development of church partnerships between American and Russian churches who work together in strengthening and multiplying churches for advancing the Gospel in Russia.
Also during this period, Jim graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in May 2002 with a Masters Degree in Cross-Cultural Ministries.
In his role with EvangeCube, a sister ministry of GMF, he also trains and mobilizes churches for local cross-cultural evangelism through the US Strategy. In addition, Jim serves on the steering committee of DFW Mobilizers Association, the national committee of DFW Ethnic America Network, and the Core Team for Mosaix, a multi-cultural church movement.
Jim and his wife Liz have been married for 25 years and have three teenage children John, James and Missy. They reside in Denton and are members of Denton Bible Church.
