Develop Cross-cultural Relationships
"Of course, relationships are important to the overall development and well-being of any church. Yet, the development of relationships and, specifically, the development of relationships that transcend ethnic and economic barriers are essential to the establishment of a healthy multi-ethnic church. To be sure, differences in personality and preference exist in a homogeneous church. Yet when entire cultures come together under one roof, the initial divides are much greater and so are the joys of overcoming them! Mutual understanding, respect and appreciation will develop, however, only through a firm commitment to one another over time, and this we should pursue, not simply for the sake of diversity, but, indeed, for a greater good: The expansion of the gospel through the expression of unity in and through the local church."
